JUBA SHOPPING FOR IMAGE-CLEANSING COMPANY WHILE THREATENING UN AND MEDIA

JUBA’S DIE-LEMMA:

A demonstrator backing the call for the sacking of UN Secretary-General's Special Representative, Hilde Johnson in Juba. Ironically, such people should always be near UN compound in case of any similar outbreak of shooting like the December 15.

Like a career adulterer who fixes an appointment with an adulteress tonight before going to church to pray for forgiveness, South Sudan government accuses US, UN, AU, EU, UK, IGAD, and everybody else that doubts the coup claims and labels them rebels or rebels’ sympathizers.

In addition, Hon. Marial Benjamin, Hon. Makuei Lueth, Ateny Wek and their entourage (but not ambassadors) have been running errands on Shuttle Diplomacy around the world…to no avail! They do the smiling at world leaders outside and do the frowning on them inside South Sudan…UN must go…! say the government-sponsored demon-strators.

I hear “We really need to improve our relations with the west and the media. If this firm can do that, especially this time of this crisis, it would be a big diplomatic achievement.” Which diplomatic achievement when you have recalled your ambassadors and replaced them with private foreign companies to clean you? I thought mercenary crave and craze only worked in military interventions. Should South Sudan import everything including diplomacy that we are supposed to export? With Makuei Lueth singing a UN-must-go chorus of the demonstrators and media must toe the line or must go, too, what amount of private company’s propaganda will remove the voices and pictures of our hostility in the home and world media?

Now, they are spending huge sums of the dying economy on hiring an image-cleansing firm from Obamaland (USA) hoping to convince Obama that it ‘inu’ was a coup! What if, well, the world just relieves itself of this coup diplomacy burden (which has preoccupied the Juba Administration at the expense of the failing Peace, Humanitarian and Developmental energies); I mean what if the world just admits, in unison, “IT WAS A COUP”! What will we have achieved? Will the slaughtering of the small scapegoats (while the bigger scape-he-goat has been allowed to escape with the rest) put the food on the IDP’s tables this farm-less, oil-less, tax-less year of the threat against UN and agencies?

If we could borrow visionary leaders instead of ‘renting’ (allow me to call them) Ambassadors Co. Ltd from ‘Nation X’ just for one month…we shall have saved tens of thousands of innocent people on the row for genocide and famine.

By the way, what type of a brush does KRL International have that will clean clotted blood of the innocent on the hands of our leaders and the lands of our states’ capitals and villages in South Sudan? Does KRL Intnl have justice and accountability in their TOR (the only brush to clean the mess)?
