SALVA KIIR NOW LODGING IN ‘HOTEL HISTORY’

THIS WAR CRY IS A WAR CRIME, MR. PRESIDENT!

DAY 3 OF ‘THE COUP’ (Dec. 17, 2013).

Since independence, there is no month passed without mass killing here and there in the nascent Repubublic of South Sudan. Regardless of whoever commits the crime of killing, the first person to receive a finger of blame is the head of state, who is the General Manager of ‘Project South Sudan’.

This is a very damning message the SPLA advertised on SSTV an evening after 'the coup' in Juba on 16 December 2013.

This is a very damning message the SPLA advertised on SSTV an evening after ‘the coup’ in Juba on 16 December 2013.

Now, people are wondering why the war mobilization on SSTV…? The program of last night reminds us of Bashir’s propaganda…now ‘SALBASHIR’S’ PROPAGANDA…! Why put images of the military mobilization and singing songs like…PANDA ARUM EEI COMRADE, ANGUEN BUK LO BAAI PANE TOOR…? (Our country is being robbed, hey, comrade, better we go to the land of guns (look for guns) for war…!). Just because you have differed with your brother and sister in the system?!

And what finally broke my heart is this message posted on SSTV (see the picture). Calling Oyai, Nyandeng, Majak, Hiteng, Gier, DengX2, etc. rebels and enemies of peace just because they are calling for better SPLM and expressing a different opinion from Kiir makes some of us think what is on the mind of Kiir and those pushing him to destroy the party by pushing away his comrades-in-arms.

Having Riek among them is no big deal because Riek was originally with them before similar quarrels brought the movement apart in the early 90s. When Riek returned, Garang, Kiir, Wani and everyone welcomed him back so that the CPA (Comprehensive Peace Agreement) was achieved. Not only that, Kiir made him his brother-in-service till he (Riek) was recently tempted to ask for his turn…which is not a crime in democracy. Should this lead to a call for war…?

A CALL FOR SPLM LEADERSHIP RECONCILIATION MEEETING IN 2013 LIKE IN 2004

“The SPLM is at it again! It is upon the people of South Sudan to see how to save their lives by keeping a distance from the power struggle going on in their historical party right now. This is reminiscent of the 2004 Schism that already threatened the hard-earned CPA (Comprehensive Peace Agreement) that was to be signed a month later. This time, it’s the hard-earned independence of the South Sudanese that is at jeopardy at the moment. This also calls for an alarm. Therefore, I hereby call upon all the stakeholders of the party to sit down and sort their issues out before the ignorant populations fall in with their tribal outlooks. It would be a great setback if left unchecked for the sake of peace and development of South Sudan.” https://weakleak.wordpress.com/news/

Lastly, those images being played on SSTV, making our South Sudan Television acquire a nickname of ‘Salva’s Salvaging Television’, are normal to those who were in the bush with him. The only difference I can see is that they are jealously selected and carefully edited so that any of the comrades named above does not appear with him in the picture, giving the public a very hypocritical impression that projects Salva Kiir as the only hero during the war. This alienation and intentional denial of others’ historic contribution to the liberation of this country is another dividing factor. We all have such dirty pictures of the bush war, only that we do not use them to drive cheap political leverage at the expense of our peace and national unity.

I MEAN, COMRADE SALVA SHOULD LOOK BACK SO AS TO NOT TAKE US BACK TO THAT TIME AND PLACE WHERE HE HAD THIS PICTURE TAKEN. LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OFFICE HE IS IN NOW AND THE ONE HE WAS IN THOSE DAYS (In the picture, he sits in the grass and on a piece of wood or a turf of grass penning some Departure Order or so to his soldiers…).

President Kiir, now Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, in a press conference in which he announced that the 'coup d'etat' was foiled and then the arrest of those behind the coup (SSTV. Dec. 16, 2013).

With his grudgingly written speeches and press releases, I harbour the fear that our Man has been hijacked and forced to read for us damaging history laced with aggressive incidences of his heroism to the detriment of others by opportunists who want to inherit those forcibly abandoned positions in the SPLM party. But, as usual, Salva Kiir has no capacity to detect that!

In short, our president has been forced to have his lodging at ‘HOTEL HISTORY’ and not in the nascent (REPUBLIC OF) ‘SOUTH SUDAN HOTEL’, which belongs to a every South Sudanese regardless of who did what in the past. Our focus should rather be who will do what in the present and future. Frankly, we all have been there, but have migrated to the modern time. So who is that one still holding our hero in the bush…!

NOW, NO, WE CAN’T AFFORD TO GO BACK THERE…OVER MY DEAD BODY AND OVER MY DEAD BUDDY, NEVER WILL I JOIN ANY OF THEIR BLOOD SIDES IN THIS WAR (to shout or shoot at who?)…!

DAY 2 (Dec. 16, 2013)

COUP FACTS…!
Having listened to how coup experts/analysts are scoffing at and making fun of the ‘coup attempt’ in South Sudan, I felt aggressed or agitated and needed to share a few lines here…: South Sudan is the only country where a coup is staged in the army barracks at the outskirts of the city. While most of the world’s known coup d’ etats are always strategically centred around the state house, state media house, airport and office of the president, ours is done kilometres away from this strategic points. Hmm, whoever commanded that ‘coup’ needed to go back to the military training camp…!
South Sudan is the only place where Presidential Guards can stage a coup under the ‘command’ of disgruntled politicians somewhere under a house arrest of the night. The fact that Kiir’s bodyguards fought one another and exported the battle across the city will make those suspected politicians and military officers look like scapegoats.
And should it transpire to be a political framing later, somebody must be ready for accountability of the wasted life in Juba. Should it be Riek, then he would have a double case in the international court (not necessarily ICC as it is younger than 1991 massacre in Bor).
South Sudan is the only country where coup leaders stage a coup and remains sleeping in their houses till morning, and continue staying there till their arrest warrants are delivered on an SSTV…with the exception of Dr. Riek Machar.
By the way, while the SSTV is spreading very cheap propaganda and mobilizing for war against the ‘rebels’, there is serious gunfire reported among the soldiers fighting Yau Yau rebels in Pibor. Is that all that we wanted…to fulfill Bashir prophecy that we were going to kill ourselves should we be given our independence. May be I should just remind Kiir to rush and bring Yau Yau in before he smells the rabid mouth of Dr. Riek. I suspect (which is the cause of my exile) that David Yau Yau will obey Kiir’s orders this time. Don’t ask me why? Wait for our confused and confessed history.

DAY 1 (Dec. 14, 2013)
WE DO NOT NEED SPEECH READERS OF HISTORY, WE NEED SPEED LEADERS FOR VICTORY…!
We need practical speakers, not historical readers. We want leaders who put their speeches into action. The nation is bored with the chorus of self-aggrandizing victory in history. It’s my request that the speech writers use active not passive language. It makes no news to me for my former commander to tell me he was the one who captured Kapoeta, but it makes now news for my president, minister, governor, commissioner, etc. to announce that they are building a bridge across Singata (Kapoeta).
Orally bleeding history victories results in breeding of division after  our independence. By the way, it makes not any sense at all for my president to alienate a section of his comrades (regardless of his Press Secretary, Health Minister, Parliament Speaker, etc. in the SPLM-Mayardit camp besides those in the SPLM-Machardit camp). Showing that they do not deserve leadership because they defected during the liberation struggle is stoking a healed wound. If you call a fellow South Sudan citizen not fit for expressing a different opinion and judge them according to our history, and then turn round to hug Omar al Bashir as a brother as seen recently in Juba, yet we all know that it’s the very Bashir who sponsored our ‘prodigal sons’ to come and carry out massacres on us, then it leaves a lot of questions from the South Sudanese who are not playing this game of ‘deliberate hypocrisy’. I mean it is politically immoral to promote a policy of unconditionally rewarding history victories at the expense of our current issues affecting the nation.
It is equally as disgusting as capitalizing on a 1991 Bor Massacre to whip up emotions, and then ‘harvest’ these emotions to mobilize political support from victims of history. That is a very cheap but old brand of politics. Modern politics talks of what you will do, not what you have done. I can even see those who took part in the massacre, or those who wished and watched it being done on Bor in 1991 as in 2013, now ‘mourning’ for Bor in Juba. I call it deliberate hypocrisy (say ‘HypoKiirisy’) expressed through crocodile tears!
No, not after Kiir had appointed Riek Machar as his deputy twice in 8 years. When did Comrade Salva realize that Riek Machar, Lam Akol, Riek Gai, etc. are criminals in South Sudan amidst a series of not so serious ‘amnesties’? If so, then who is to blame for the 2013 Jonglei massacres now that Yau Yau is carrying an ‘Arm-nesty’, which Riek Machar is exempted from? I mean David Yau Yau is demanding Kiir’s position at a gun point and by murdering innocent children, women, etc., whereas Riek, Nyandeng, Pagan, etc. are demanding Kiir’s position by constitutional means and by using the grievances of the ordinary citizens to hide their political ambitions. And then they are now being labelled rebels (not fit for dialogue)!
Come on my leader…We want peace not in pieces and unity not in units!  See More
