President Bashir now campaigning for Separation through Supression!
In the first place, this guy has stopped everything to do with unity rallies in the country. He has not come for a single Unity rally in the South since he was told ‘wele’ in Juba during the elections campaign.
REASONS FOR HIM NOT CAMPAIGNING FOR UNITY IN THE SOUTH
1- If His Excellency, Mushir el Bashir, was greeted and welcome ‘WELE’ in March in Juba this year, what other word has remained in our southern verbal arsenal this time for unity? If ‘wele’ means ‘liar’ just because he begged for votes from us, what other words of war, if not war of words, are awaiting the unity campaign entourage in the south? You know.
2- All the hate speeches being uttered by the NCP these days are a pointer that Bashir and Co. Ltd (NCP) are accelerating the separation gear for the South. Actually, what on earth did they drink that made them say these?
a)- PRESIDENT BASHIR: “If god forbids, the South separates [then] the constitution will be amended [and] a lot of things relating to the South will go away,” he said.
“But the opaque talk [about] the Sudanese people I don’t know what…is multi-racial and multi-religious, the [Islamic] Shari’a will be the main source for lawmaking….and Arabic language will the official language of the state as will be stipulated in the upcoming constitution,” Bashir added.
“These days some people are talking about the girl that was lashed in accordance with a penalty of god’s penalties…..for those who say they are ashamed of this [punishment] they should wash up, pray twice and revert back to Islam,” Bashir told the harvest celebrations at Al-Gadarif state in East Sudan, Sunday.
“…those in disagreement should review their understanding of religion because Islamic Shari’a law “has always stipulated that one must whip, cut, or kill”.
“[If the girl was sentenced to flogging and the police carried out the verdict] What is the probe for then?” the Sudanese president posed the question.
OBEID (Minister of Information in Khartoum): “They will not enjoy citizenship rights, jobs or benefits, they will not be allowed to buy or sell in Khartoum market and they will not treated in hospitals,” Obeid further said in statements carried by public radio.
“If the result of the referendum was separation, then the southerners will not enjoy citizenship rights in the north as they would be considered citizens of another state”, he was quoted as saying on the state Suna news agency late on Friday (15 October, 2010).
OBSERVATION: This state! And you expect the Southerners in the north to vote for unity?
INTERPRETATION PROVIDED BY YASIR ARMAN
“If it [the north] continues like this it will encourage other areas like Darfur, the Nuba mountains and eastern Sudan to walk out as well,” he added, referring to areas on the peripheries of northern Sudan.
“This type of discourse is preparing the ground for a police state. The north, whether alone or with the south, is an extremely diverse place.”
“It will also result in Sudan having worse relations with the outside world,” Arman said.
“After the secession of the south, we could see the north radicalizeD and the creation of a Muslim caliphate,” one foreign official said on condition of anonymity to Agence France Presse (AFP) today.
Congratulations Mr. Bashir, we are now two weeks away to the birth of a new nation, only the Christmas is blocking us from seeing the towers of the new Canaan… (Watch this space for tomorrows weak leaks…)
However, if you have survived the NIF (National Islamic Front) knife in Khartoum slums for those who were in the North, or if you have survived their bullets in the South, please use your right hand, with all its fingers to vote wisely, otherwise, vote foolishly and have them chopped off next time if hunger orders you to pick our oil-enriched Jallaba’s pockets. Don’t say we didn’t tell you!
